ArchiGreen® intensive rooftop on “World’s best architecture” award winner building in 2018

ArchiGreen® is providing the green roof system for the Budapest-based Museum of ethnography which won the award for best European public building and also “WORLD’S BEST ARCHITECTURE” award at the international property awards in London in 2018.

The Museum of Ethnography, which is part of the Liget park project based in Budapest has won the fiercely contested title of World’s Best Architecture at the 2018 International Property Awards. The project was one of over 1700 entries from 115 countries, scrutinised by a judging committee, which is chaired by four UK Lords as well as over 80 global experts.

Over the past two decades, more and more green roofs have been built around the world. In fact, in some parts of the world it has even become mandatory to have a green roof on all newly established flat rooftops. Perhaps, there is more to this than just mere coincidence. However, is it just a vanishing fad? Absolutely not! Conscious thinking, and some commitment to nature to improve our well-being in both a narrower and a broader context are the key in understanding the importance of extensive green roofs, why we need more of them and why they are here to last.
